The NHL announced it’s canceling of the first two weeks of the schedule ( October 11-24 ) thanks to the lockout. In all, that makes 82 games to be canceled by the league. The last time the owners and players met was last weekend but they only discussed non-financial topics. There is currently no meetings scheduled between the owners and the NHLPA. Honestly, this couldn’t be more of a disaster for the NHL, and with more and more players going to Europe to play in the KHL, i cant see it ending anytime soon… but hey at least ESPN bought out the rights to air KHL hockey games….which can be viewed starting next week on ESPN3.
